What is the best grease for high temperatures?
Considering the lubrication properties of a grease is critical when exposing a grease to high temperatures or pressures in an application. For those very extreme operating temperatures, consider a high temperature stability grease such as Blue High Temperature Grease HP-X.
Can you mix blue grease with red grease?
Mixing of different greases can result in changes in physical and performance characteristics, leading to inferior properties of either of the original greases before mixing. Mixing incompatible greases often results in softening, but may also lead to hardening.
What's the best grease for ball joints?
While technically any grease can be used for ball joints, it's best to use high-quality lithium or molybdenum-disulfide (moly) greases. General-purpose greases often don't withstand the high-pressure and high-temperature conditions that ball joints experience.
